TERMS & CONDITIONS OF CARRIAGE BETWEEN M G I & CARRIER


At MGI we have our own fleet of trucks for the transportation of goods from the Ports, via the Warehouses, up to any of our clients’ destinations within South Africa, and across the border too.
	Goods coming out of the Durban Port are road freighted to Gauteng and surrounds. The N3 / N11 corridor between these two provinces handles approximately 27.5 million tons of freight per annum.

MGI uses two types of trucks for our long haul transportation.
The Superlink 34 ton truck has two trailers of 6m and 12 m making it 22 metres long.
The Tri-Axle single trailer truck is 13m long.
A 13 m long trailer that has a deck width of 2.4 m, can load a minimum of 26 pallets of goods, where the standard pallet weight is a cubic tons.
Using a mixture of heavy and light tonnage, and maximizing the loading of these vehicles, means that we can obtain the best transportation cost of your product across country.
